Poetry: “DECOLONIAL EROTICA” by Meriem Evangline

DECOLONIAL EROTICA

no feathery angel parts or seafoam eyes no honeyed cunts or faerytale hymns no church full sundays or gun plays no pretty dolls or coquette pornos no rosy breasts or even assent Instead we had uncles that plucked us from pastures as a beak to the grease of a worm who pulled and pulled at our woven hems the sackcloth hefted up to please them who hushed us beyond closed doors to push our heads towards the fattest part of them as we pressed the soft meat of our tongues around and around who coloured us whey when they came all over our faces now we were washed by the same colour as the three graces now we had a chance to be oh so lovely call us shameful cumsluts call us whatever they want we can be whatever Ivory fantasy they want us to be our mouths full of them we can feel them stuck to the back of our throats as salt sweet syrup we scream and scream but our phantom pleas go unheard they can not appease us they shall never ever leave us
