“[thread, cotton, and cyanotype on cut paper],” by Isabel Ries Neal

Note: [thread, cotton, and cyanotype on cut paper] is a chapbook series I made at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts’ 2018 Open Studio Residency. The text is laser-cut on watercolor paper. Some in the series are improvisationally machine-sewn; one features hand-dyed cotton. The blue comes from cyanotype, with images (featuring my aunt, circa 1950s) solar-printed from my grandmother’s Kodak negatives.
